2020 Caravan Industry National Board Nominations

Caravan Industry Association of Australia is now seeking nominations for the national board.

Nominations are open until close of business 7th October 2020.

If you are passionate about continuing to build and advocate for a robust, compliant and sustainable caravan and camping industry, and have the skills and experience to help drive this forward, then you should consider nominating for the board.

The process requires a self nomination form to be completed, along with being seconded by one of the member state associations.  It is also the ten state associations who will ultimately vote to fill the positions.

The composition of the national board is 9 members, with no more than 5 representatives from either of the Parks or Trade sector.  This year there are 4 vacant positions which will require filling from either 2 parks and 2 trade or 1 park and 3 trade.  You do not have to be associated with the industry to be nominated or be elected to the national board.

While national board terms are for two years, in line with the Constitution, should the current sitting Chairperson nominate and be re-elected, they will automatically be elected as Chairperson for one additional year.  Current national board members who are eligible for re-nomination in 2020 are Grant Wilckens, Donna Cocking, Nick Hunter and Brad Slater.

Mark Lindsay, James Kelly, Martin Cotterell, Chris Goddard and Dennis Austin will not be subject to re-election in 2020 and will all continue their service on the board.

There will be a minimum for four meetings per year, of which most are delivered via technology.
