At the National Conference this past Sunday, Brad Illich was awarded the 2015 CaravanCampingSales Future Leaders Award, created to encourage Future Leaders in the caravan industry.
The CaravanCampingSales Future Leaders Award recognises future leaders of the Caravanning and Camping Industry and is open to anyone working in the industry under the age of 40.
Illich started an IT business in 2000 from spare office space at his parents’ park when he was 17. In 2003, he moved into his own office space with three employees. Illich created NewBook in 2010 to cater to Holiday Parks in Australia. During 2014, he converted 185 properties to NewBook, which is now servicing over 320 properties in Australia, NZ and Internationally.
“I am very excited and appreciative to receive the Caravan Industry’s Future Leaders Award for 2015 against such tough competition,” said Illich.
“It has been a culmination of years of work beginning back in 2000 when I started my small IT business, to now being applauded by hundreds of colleagues and customers at the gala dinner. It was a truly emotional experience, very rewarding and I can’t wait to see where we can take the industry to in the future.”
This award is an important opportunity not only to develop a Future Leader, but also to provide other young people within the industry some sensational role models.
Last year’s Inaugural Winner was Josh Carnavas of Brisbane Camperland.
Caravan Industry Association of Australia, along with CaravanCampingSales, congratulate Illich on his well-derserevd win, and look forward to further fostering Future Leaders throughout the industry.
