Caravan Industry Emerging Leader accepted into Standards Australia NEXTgen Program

Our very own James Field, Chief Technical Officer has been appointed a position in the upcoming Standards Australia NEXTgen Program.

Having joined Caravan Industry Association of Australia over 5 years ago, James has been involved in a number of industry technical committees. These committees have been directly responsible for improving industry compliance of Recreational Vehicles through effective representation to regulators and standards committees.

Standards Australia’s NEXTgen Program selects emerging industry and technical experts and provides them with an exciting opportunity to become involved in the national and international standardisation processes supporting Australian industry and government.

Having started his career in the Recreational Vehicle industry in 2006 repairing and constructing Caravans, he soon developed an appreciation and passion for the diverse range of Australian Standards and Australian Design Rules (ADRs) that governed Recreational Vehicles in Australia.

His in-depth knowledge of our industry and ability to see the opportunities for improved compliance within our industry makes him the perfect fit for a program such as this.

Not only is this an incredible opportunity for James, it also allows for industry specific input through the program, as participants will access training and gain direct exposure to the standards development process and context.
