New Government Relations and Policy Role
In an ongoing commitment to industry advocacy and building strong government relationships, Caravan Industry Association of Australia has appointed Julian Harniman to ensure the caravan industry’s collective voice is heard where it can effectively assist industry businesses.
Julian will ensure our sector’s importance is recognised by government and our ability to develop and grow is supported rather than impeded. He will work to ensure our industry is properly consulted on all relevant issues, receives fair recognition and appropriate support, and is not disadvantaged by unintended consequences or poor public policy.
Having previously worked in electorate offices and as a parliamentary advisor, Julian will be an asset to Caravan Industry Association of Australia. He has a strong understanding of the Australian political scene and regulatory affairs, and will be able to formulate effective evidence-based approaches for complex public policy problems.
Julian says, “I am excited to work in an industry that covers tourism, retail and manufacturing sectors, which together are innovating and growing, enabling travellers to see Australia. I look forward to working towards greater advocacy, understanding and recognition of an industry that encourages family-orientated travel while also contributing significant benefits to the Australian economy”.
Caravan Industry Association of Australia is confident that Julian’s strong communication and stakeholder relationships skills will help strengthen our presence politically and achieve the best outcomes for industry.
