NewsCorp caravan camping partnership launched to millions of Australians

Caravan Industry Association of Australia is excited to announce the launch of its largest print and digital consumer marketing activities in recent years. The partnership is designed to stimulate the market and put caravan and camping as the No. 1 holiday and lifestyle choice for Australians.  The total activity period is over three weeks and will be delivered over two key activities; with the first being the Win a Weekender promotion and the second being the dedicated Caravan Camping ‘ReConnect’ magazine insert (1.2 million copies distributed).

Each of the 22 Newscorp titles will carry industry messaging and imagery, ensuring millions of Australians are being showcased the benefits of the camping lifestyle on a daily basis.

Win a Weekender NewsCorp Partnership

Caravan Industry Association of Australia with NewsCorp Ltd. has launched a new partnership that includes Avida Motorhomes and Caravans, Ingenia Holidays and Dometic for our 2019 Win a Weekender promotion!  Significant activities such as this that benefit the whole industry would not be possible without the generous support of these key partners and we are thankful for their support and endorsement of this activity.

Readers and digital subscribers of all 22 NewsCorp mastheads around the country including the Daily Telegraph, the Courier Mail, the Sunday Mail and more will have the opportunity to win one of two major prizes, an Avida Leura Motorhome valued at $122,300 or an Avida Rock Caravan valued at $88,490.

Five winners each day will receive an Ingenia Holiday Voucher worth $1000 and one winner each day will receive a $2,477 Dometic Camping Pack.

Caravan Camping Magazine ‘ReConnect’

In an extension of the promotion and to capitalise on the interest the competition component will generate (in 2018 over 460,000 entries were received), we have also created a dedicated caravan and camping 40-page ‘Reconnecting’ magazine designed to stimulate the market and inform readers of the fantastic options this lifestyle has to offer.  Topics include ‘How to Buy your Caravan / RV’ , weekend caravan and camping escapes, travelling with pets, health and wellbeing benefits and much more content designed to demonstrate the wide range of options and choices consumers can enjoy by choosing the camping lifestyle.  The magazine will be inserted into all NewsCorp publications around the country this Saturday, June 29.

The competition element will officially begin the following day, Sunday June 30, with pre-promotion already underway.

TV and Radio partners extends reach of print and digital

Additionally, the competition will be promoted on Channel 7’s Sunrise, Australia’s largest breakfast television show on Saturday July 6 and NOVA syndicated radio will be running 15-second radio segments promoting the Win a Weekender activity.  These activities provide a fantastic opportunity to amplify the activity by supporting the print and digital activities.  Increasing the media mix will also ensure a larger audience is reached and provides further blanket coverage of industry messaging for this three week activity.

In order to enter, all readers have to do is either subscribe digitally or buy a copy of their local paper and enter the daily code word online, with Caravan Industry Association of Australia holding the rights to the digital entry points. The more times people enter, the larger their chance of winning.

The prizes are worth a total of $320,000.

In conjunction with the competition, we will also be working with the NewsCorp editorial team to promote the caravan and camping lifestyle through content regarding our Real Richness Report, caravan and camping snapshots, family trips and different options including glamping.

The promotion period began on June 23 and will run until July 14.

This promotion would not be possible without the support of the industry, and we would like to thank Avida Motorhomes and Caravans, Ingenia Holidays and Dometic for their support.

We would also like to acknowledge the industry businesses who have advertised in the caravan and camping ‘ReConnect’ magazine.
