NOMINATIONS CLOSE APRIL 28! Caravan Industry Association of Australia are seeking nominations for several high-profile industry awards. These awards provide national recognition for exceptional individuals in the caravanning and camping industry. We invite you to have your say by nominating yourself or someone you know for these awards. 

 

THE ERIC HAYMAN AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE

The Eric Hayman Award for Excellence is our industry’s most prestigious award, now in its 27th year. Past recipients have been extremely influential and hardworking industry leaders, such last year’s recipient Dennis Austin.

Do you know a worthy nominee that has made a significant positive impact at a national level in the last few years?  Please have your say and tell us who you’d like to see recognised for their contribution to the caravanning and camping industry. We are looking for a true industry ambassador!

You can nominate any individual, group, company or organisation in the caravanning and camping industry.  And there is no need to be shy! If it’s you or your business, go ahead and nominate yourself.

Award coordinator Ron Chapman will develop and oversee a panel of past award winners, who will vote to decide the recipient of this year’s award. All you need to do is nominate a deserving industry member.

How to Nominate:

  1. Let us know who you are nominating and why? Keep it under two pages but be sure you include the reasons you think the nominee is deserving of our most prestigious award.

THE FUTURE LEADERS AWARD

We are on the lookout for our next exceptional Future Leader. Maybe that’s you or someone you know?  If you’re in the caravanning and camping industry, under 40 years old, and are making an impact in your business – we want to hear from you!

 The CaravanCampingSales Future Leaders Award is an opportunity to develop a future leader at the same time as providing other young people within the industry some sensational role models.

The winner will receive:

  • Up to $15,000 towards industry study or professional development.
  • An opportunity to attend a Caravan Industry Association of Australia National Board meeting, to observe and provide input into important industry discussions.

How to Nominate:

  1. Complete the Future Leaders Award Nomination Form.
  2. Provide an overview of yourself as a Future Leader that includes:
    — Your background and experience
    — How you see the future of the caravanning and camping industry
    — Where you see yourself in the future
    — What you want to achieve as a Youth Ambassador of the industry
  3. Email your nomination form and overview to [email protected] prior to 5 pm AEST on 28 April 2017.

 Note: Nominees must be working in the caravanning and camping industry, be under the age of 40 (as at 1 January 2017), and are required to self-nominate for this award.

 Five finalists will be selected from the nominations received and will need to be available to attend a judging process on Tuesday 9 May 2017 on the Gold Coast.  The finalists will be provided with return flights to the Gold Coast and accommodation (room only) on Tuesday 9 May 2017 in order to meet with the selection panel.  In addition, they will receive a complimentary registration to the Future Leaders Conference at Jupiters Casino on Wednesday 10 May 2017.  Finalists will also be recognised at the Industry Gala Dinner where the Future Leaders Award winner will be announced.

 

CARAVAN INDUSTRY EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR

Introducing the Caravan Industry Employee of the Year Award!  This newly created award is designed to recognise an exceptional employee in the caravanning and camping industry.  This award is open to any industry employee at any level of their career.

We are looking for an employee you couldn’t have done without and that deserves national recognition for their efforts.  There are various reasons you may wish to nominate an employee, such as:

  • They have made a significant positive impact on your business.
  • They have been loyal and dedicated to their job for a length of time.
  • They brought new ideas to your business that helped shape the way you do things.
  • They have undertaken community service or an act of good will.

 How to Nominate:

  1. Complete the Caravan Industry Employee of the Year Online Form.
  2. All you need to do is tell us the employee’s name and position in your organisation along with why you feel they are deserving of this award. Please keep your response to under 250 words.

Finalists will profiled in an upcoming industry publication, while the winner will be featured in a video profile acknowledging their contribution to your business. The winner will also enjoy a $1000 cash prize.

 

That’s it!  All award winners will be unveiled at our industry’s night of nights –  the Industry Gala Dinner – on 12 May at the National Conference.  We encourage you to have your say on who should be considered for our industry’s national awards and we hope to see you at the National Conference this year.
