With travel budgets tight, winning guest trust matters more than ever. Caravan Industry Association of Australia’s latest research shows a proven way to do this – accreditation.

The 2026 Caravan Park Guest Review Report paints a picture of an industry that continues to earn its guests’ confidence. The sector recorded a National Global Review Index™ of 85.6% for 2025, with more than 80% of all reviews rating their caravan holiday park stays positively.

It is a strong result that comes with an added takeaway for park operators: accreditation is an edge.

The accreditation gap

Accreditation sets benchmark performance levels in customer service, risk management and business planning – and it shows in the results.

Parks accredited by Caravan Industry Association of Australia outperformed their non-accredited counterparts across the year in guest satisfaction scores and engagement frequency.

That engagement matters. Accredited operators responded to a larger share of reviews than non-accredited parks, at a time when the sector responded to 50% of eligible reviews overall. Guests notice when a business listens, replies and acts on feedback, and the data shows accredited parks are doing more of exactly that.

For an industry competing for cautious, cost-conscious travellers, that difference in guest experience translates to a competitive advantage.

What else is shaping guest experiences?

Other trends worth watching:

• Review volume is high. More than 202,000 reviews were posted about the 1,000 participating parks in 2025.
• Booking.com and Google dominate. Booking.com accounted for 54% of reviews and Google 33%, underlining where operators need to focus their reputation management effort.
• International interest is growing. While English-language reviews from Australian guests on Booking.com dominated, the growing presence of international visitor reviews signals expanding appeal.
• Family travellers lead the conversation. Families generated the largest share of feedback of any traveller segment, representing 41% of total review volume.

Why it matters

Taken together, the findings reinforce that guest trust is being won and lost in the finer details. Accreditation is one of the clearest levers park operators have to influence the outcome.
