Caravan Industry Association of Australia excitedly welcomes the establishment of the Parliamentary Friends of Caravanning and thanks Co-Chairs Senator Helen Polley and Scott Buchholz MP for championing the industry's voice in Canberra.
The group provides a non-partisan forum connecting RV producers, dealerships, caravan holiday park operators, tourism bodies, and stakeholders across the caravan and motorhome industry with parliamentarians — sharing insights from an industry that employs 50,000 Australians nationwide and contributes $27 billion to the national economy.
The Parliamentary Friends of Caravanning meets twice a year in Canberra, bringing industry leaders, manufacturers, state association heads and the National Board together with parliamentarians to discuss the key issues facing the industry and demonstrate the breadth of its contribution to Australia.
The group supports the travel and tourism industry, RV producers, and operators across the supply chain — many of which are small and micro businesses — allowing them to connect directly with parliamentarians about the value caravanning brings to the regions.
