National TV launches ‘Road to a Million’ with fanfare positioning camping as Australia’s Best Value Holiday

Millions of Australians tuned in to watch our three families’ road trip with Sam Mac, demonstrating why camping is Australia’s best holiday.

Channel 7’s Sunrise launched to Australia the industry’s largest promotional campaign ‘Road to a Million’, positioning caravan parks as Australia’s ‘best value’ holiday.

Over three days, millions of Australians watched as Sam Mac and three lucky families who won the opportunity to join him on our road trip through South Australia and demonstrate their for love camping while inspiring others to do the same. Throughout the week our families talked of their love for camping, the joy it brings their families, the unforgettable memories created, the reconnection to the simple joys in life while showcasing how a camping lifestyle benefits them and their kids. 

The ’Road to a Million’ campaign has over 1,300 caravan holiday parks participating and officially opened to the public last Friday, November 1.

This collective approach by industry ‘One Industry, One Voice’ provides a consistent message to the consumer, focusing on ‘value’ and the fantastic benefits adults, children and young people can enjoy.

As many Australians currently deal with cost-of-living challenges, this is an opportunity to present the unique benefits associated with a camping holiday, not only value but also the well-being attributes, the reconnection to family, friends and community. No other holiday type brings people together in such a positive manner.
