Manufacturer instructions and AS/NZS 5601.2
The gas code requires appliances are fitted to the manufacturer’s instructions. See clause 6.5.
We may think we know how an appliance is installed, but as the saying goes, thinking is good, checking is better.
There are serious implications around getting it wrong. An incorrectly fitted appliance may see the liability for a failure or accident go back to you as the installer or manufacturer.
