Caravan Industry is in Capable Hands with Young Leaders
The 2016 CaravanCampingSales Future Leaders Award was presented to Gabby Montagnese at the 2016 Caravan Industry Association of Australia National Conference Gala Dinner
The CaravanCampingSales Future Leaders Award, now in its third year, celebrates the most accomplished young leader in the caravan industry today who is destined to further influence the industry in the future. As the winner of the Award, Gabby will receive a $15,000 scholarship for professional development.
Gabby was among six finalists who will all hopefully go on to play a more significant role in both state and national activities and feature heavily in decision making committees and Boards into the future. National Chairman Mark Lindsay said, “If this is the quality of future decision makers on behalf of our industry, then the industry is in very good stead.”
The Future Leaders Award is part of a larger industry strategy to encourage youth participation. Mark Lindsay explains, “The understanding of issues and a fresh look at solutions coupled with the enthusiasm and passion exhibited by these individuals is a lesson in why the future leaders of our industry should be encouraged and provided a pathway so that their voices are heard in the decision making tables around the country.”
Gabby Montagnese of New Age Caravans has firmly planted herself as an industry leader in caravan manufacturing in a very short time. She has a keen interest in consumer trends backed by very clear business systems that enables her to innovate and drive industry behaviour through success, resulting in her recognition as an industry leader. Gabby blew the judges away with her confidence, understanding of industry issues, and willingness to not only be successful in her own right but to contribute to the broader industry framework.
On the caravan industry night of nights, the CaravanCampingSales Future Leaders Award was presented among other industry awards including the prestigious Eric Hayman Award for Excellence and the inaugural Richard Davis Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Peak National Body.
