The guest speakers at the Caravan Industry National Conference are always one of the highlights, and this year is no different!

We have again lined up a fantastic assortment of speakers and presenters to entertain, inform and inspire you over the three day event. Here’s a sneak peek- stay tuned for more information!

Todd Sampson

Todd Sampson is a Canadian-born Australian documentary maker, businessman and television presenter. He came from modest beginnings and entered university on a full scholarship, studying biology and economics and then completed an MBA at just 24.

Todd was the national CEO of Leo Burnett Australia, which was ranked as the world’s 7th most creative company. He is also the co-creator of the famous Earth Hour initiative, which reaches over 1.4 billion people in over 5500 cities.

He was the breakout star and co-host of the hit ABC television show The Gruen Transfer, a regular host on Channel 10’s The Project and has featured on CNN and Sky News.

Recently, Todd was a ‘human lab rat’ in a ground-breaking science documentary series ‘Redesign My Brain’, which won the ACCTA Award for Best TV Documentary of the Year and is now being shown around the world on the Discovery Channel.

The Financial Review and News Limited ranked him as one of the most influential executives in Australia. He has won CEO of the Year twice and has featured on the cover of BRW magazine.

He’s also climbed to the summit of Mount Everest, unguided.

Stan Gallo

Stan Gallo is Forensic Partner leading the KPMG teams in Qld and WA. He is also the National Leader of KPMG’s Forensic Technology teams specialising in the identification, seizure and analysis of digital evidence in the fields of cyber incident response, computer forensics and discovery related litigation support.

Stan has authored technology-related articles in a range of publications and has been involved in numerous media appearances, publications and presentations both in Australia and internationally.

As a former deep cover police operative, Stan has lived numerous lives including trafficking in narcotics, firearms and electronic data.  Having experienced these lives, Stan has a unique perspective on all manner of nefarious activities – he has lived these risks.  A risk management specialist, Stan now combines his unique insights, traditional investigative skills and forensic technology expertise to bring a different perspective providing advice and insights to organisations looking to minimise cyber risk and assist them in responding to incidents when they do occur.

Our MC: Jo Palmer

Caravan Industry Association of Australia is pleased to once again welcome Jo Palmer as the MC of our National Conference.

Jo Palmer is the anchor news presenter for 7 Tasmania.

Originally employed in Hobart as a journalist, she has been presenting the evening news for 22 years.

She is a former Miss Tasmania and in 1993 was awarded Miss Australia, the first Tasmanian to win the prestigious title since 1927.

Jo is a past recipient of the “Tasmanian of the Year” for her charity and community work.

Currently residing in Launceston, she is married to professional Latin American dancer Andrew Palmer and has four children.

She is a prominent speaker at numerous Tasmanian charity and community events as well as a prominent MC and host for both State and National conferences, award presentations and fundraising events.

Jo has hosted the Caravan Industry National Conference for the past five years.

The Killer Queen Experience

On Thursday night, we will be kicking off the National Conference in style, with a ‘We Will Rock You’ themed event, complete with a show-stopping performance from The Killer Queen Experience.

Formed in 2003, The Killer Queen Experience has risen from a local Brisbane-based Queen Cover Band to an international touring show and is Australia’s most sought-after tribute act.

The Killer Queen band have taken their show to such places as the UK, Norway, Singapore, India and have received rave reviews and testimonials from the likes of Danii Minogue, Red Symons, Larry Emdur, Grant Denyer and Glen A. Baker, to name a few.

The Killer Queen Experience band forms the complete Queen line up by resembling the original members of Queen. The band uses replica instruments and harmonies all live on stage in order to nail that famous Queen chemistry.

Frontman John Blunt has been impersonating Queen lead singer Freddie Mercury for 15 years and has even featured on international television in the 2016 UK docu/drama ‘The Freddie Mercury Story- Who Wants to Live Forever’.

The band’s 2-hour live show is set to include all of Queen’s greatest hits including Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You, We Are the Champions, Somebody to Love, Radio Ga Ga, Another One Bites the Dust and select album tracks for the hardcore fans!
