Accreditation Process

Steps for dealerships to become RDAP accredited
1. Register Your Interest
Confirm your dealership is eligible to become accredited and complete an online business information form expressing interest in becoming accredited. We’ll then get in touch to discuss the program with you and answer any further questions you may have.
2. Perform Self-Assessment & Apply
Conduct a self-assessment to confirm that your business currently meets, or is committed to working towards meeting, the accreditation program’s criteria. Once satisfied, formally apply and indicate within this form how you would like to pay the application fee.
Note: Once Caravan Industry Association of Australia receives an application for RDAP and payment is made, the business will be provided access to the RDAP section of the Industry Portal, which provides further resources – including business templates and a workbook to assist with accreditation process.
3. Gather Evidence
Collect evidence of internal business policies and procedures to demonstrate your dealership meets the accreditation program criteria. Where policies and processes are not in place, self-help business templates and other resources are available through the RDAP program to assist dealerships in navigating this step. Once the dealership is satisfied it has the evidence to comply with the RDAP criteria, notify us to schedule a formal onsite audit.
4. Independent Assessment
Undergo an onsite audit by an independent assessor. The assessor will review the evidence of industry-leading internal policies and procedures and determine the Dealership’s suitability for accreditation. If gaps remain, the assessor will work with the Dealership to implement the required policies and procedures to ensure the accreditation criteria is met.
5. Accreditation & Ongoing Development
Once accredited, the dealership commits to the RDAP Code of Conduct and to maintaining high levels of customer service and business practices. An accreditation certificate, a Code of Conduct certificate, a window decal and a promotional sign are presented for display within the dealership, and the RDAP logo is made available for display and use in the dealership’s promotional materials.
