In June, Caravan Industry Association of Australia partnered with Jayco, Dometic, Top Parks and NewsCorp to launch the ‘Win a Weekender’ competition.
Readers and digital subscribers of all 22 NewsCorp mastheads around the country were offered the opportunity to win one of three Jayco recreational vehicles, plus daily prize packs from Dometic and Top Parks.
The promotion included a combination of masthead promotion, social media and website content. NewsCorp Australia newspapers reach a total of 11.9 million Australians every month.
Additionally, the competition was promoted in over 1800 news agents around the country in a fantastic extension of the print and digital promotion designed to engage people from the minute they entered the store.
The media value was calculated at over $3 million, significantly higher than the initial $1.9 million estimate.
Three major winners are taking home recreational vehicles, with many others winning camping packs and vouchers.
