Tribute
We pause to reflect on the significant contributions of Noel Faggotter, whose dedication to the caravan and camping industry since 1974 has left an indelible mark. As the founder of the Noel’s Caravans empire and the long-time custodian of the BIG4 Blanchetown Riverside Holiday Park for 36 years, Noel had a strong passion for the industry.
Serving on the SA Parks board for 26 years, from 1994 to 2020, Noel’s commitment was recognised with a Life Membership in 2017. His roles within the Caravan & Camping Industries Association of South Australia (CCIASA), including time as Vice President and President, showcased his leadership and deep involvement in shaping the future of the industry.
Noel was known for his optimism and resilience, particularly during challenging times such as the global financial crisis and the River Murray flood event. His ability to face adversity with a positive outlook, stating “We haven’t had time to even think about joining the recession at this stage,” demonstrated his determination to overcome obstacles.
His 26 years of voluntary service to the SA Parks board underscored a deep, long-term commitment that went beyond professional duties, bringing valuable insight and wisdom to the industry.
We acknowledge Noel Faggotter’s generous contributions and the lasting impact he has had on the caravan and camping community. His legacy of dedication and resilience will be remembered by those who had the pleasure of knowing him and working with him.
