Valentine’s Day promotion keeps hearts set on camping
The ‘Valentine’s Day Giveaway’ has helped sustain Australia’s love affair with camping after the summer school holidays.
Coordinated by Caravan Industry Association of Australia’s marketing team, in partnership with BIG4 Holiday Parks, the campaign promoted glamping and cabin stays as ideal romantic getaways in the lead-up to Valentine’s Day.
Launched in late January, the campaign was designed to keep camping front of mind between the summer school holidays and the next peak period for caravan holiday parks, Easter.
It played perfectly to the growing number of Australians centring their New Year’s resolutions on relationships and travel.
Over 50 per cent of Australians set resolutions in January 2025, according to Quantum Market Research’s AustraliaNOW Summary Report February 2025. Resolutions relating to relationships with family and travel surged significantly in 2025, rising by 19 per cent and 18 per cent respectively compared to January 2024.
The ‘Valentine’s Day Giveaway’ campaign included promotional articles published on the Let’s Go Caravan & Camping website, which were shared to over 273,500 consumers nationally via dedicated eDMs.
Banner advertising also appeared across the Let’s Go Caravan & Camping website, while social media activity across Facebook and Instagram generated 81,300 post impressions and 30,977 post views.
Across all platforms, consumers were encouraged to share their dream Valentine’s camping date night for the chance to win a $400 BIG4 Holiday Parks voucher.
